Too Many API Calls Causing Errors in My Plugins - Caching Needed
Hey everyone,
I’ve been building out some WordPress plugins, and I recently noticed an issue—too many API calls being made, which is causing errors. It seems that after a certain number of requests, I’m hitting API limits, and the plugins start throwing errors or failing to load data properly.
It’s become clear that I need to implement some kind of caching to reduce the number of API calls. Instead of hitting the API on every page load, I want to cache the results and only refresh them periodically. This should help avoid the rate limits and keep the plugins running smoothly.
Has anyone else run into a similar issue? If so, what kind of caching solution did you go with? I’m thinking of using transient caching in WordPress, but I’m open to other suggestions.
Appreciate any tips or advice!
Thanks,
Joe
