Moving Away from AWS After Disappointing Support Experience
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my recent experience with AWS support and my decision to transition all my clients away from the platform. Like many of you, I've relied on AWS for several years, expecting the level of support and consistency you'd anticipate from a top-tier provider. Unfortunately, recent interactions have left me feeling misled, stuck with unexpected costs, and undervalued as a customer.
During a critical support case, I was initially told one thing by AWS support, only to be given conflicting advice later on. The inconsistency not only created operational challenges but also cost me time and money. As an MSP, reliability and clear guidance are crucial for me and my clients, and I feel that AWS has let me down in this regard.
Moving forward, I’m planning to migrate all my clients to alternatives that prioritize transparency and genuine support. My goal is to work with providers who value long-term relationships and treat their clients as partners, not just account numbers.
If anyone has recommendations for cloud providers that offer reliable support and genuinely appreciate their customers, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for letting me share, and best of luck to anyone else who’s had similar experiences with AWS.
