Troubleshooting Windows Not Booting
Introduction:
When Windows doesn’t boot, it could be due to software or hardware issues. Here’s how to diagnose and fix it.
Steps to Troubleshoot:
-
Check Power Supply: Make sure the computer is receiving power and that cables are securely connected.
-
Enter Safe Mode: Try booting into Safe Mode by pressing F8 or Shift + F8 during startup to bypass the normal boot process.
-
Run Startup Repair: Use Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) to run Startup Repair.
-
Check for Hardware Issues: Test components like the hard drive, RAM, and power supply to see if they are causing the boot issue.
-
Restore from System Restore Point: If you’ve created restore points, try restoring your system to a previous working state.
-
Reinstall Windows: As a last resort, back up your data and reinstall Windows.
